Kenuks-Why a Sacco in the UK?

Kenyans live all over the world and over the years; they have shared the same sentiments in terms of urgent need for investment avenues, loans, mortgages, having suffered terrible experiences in pursuit of their dreams. Lack of transparency and intolerable bureaucratic demands from one bank to the other make it almost impossible to venture into investing back in our country. Its with these obstacles and difficulties in mind that Kenya UK Sacco has become the reality it is now; in accordance with the Co-operative Societies Act Cap 490 Laws of Kenya

Last year 2011, we put together a team of 5 talented Kenyans that were tasked with the responsibility of generating ideas on how best we could be registered. After approaching Hon. Joseph Nyaga EGH MP who in turn connected us to his Ministry, Co-operative bank and CIC insurance, Kenuks was born.

The rules

The main basis for this is that for us to abide by the rules and regulations of both the Kenya government and our host country we have established our head office in Nairobi and a liason office in Surrey. All we can assure our current and potential members is that we intend to guarantee transparency, security and high fidelity handling member finances once we are up and running. We request you to remain patient, focused and committed to the cause.

All Saccos registered in Kenya are regulated by SASRA, The official regulator of cooperatives in Kenya. Kenuks is registered in Kenya and as such operates under Kenyan Law. We are an E-Sacco with headquarters in Kenya and a satellite office in the United Kingdom.
